The Neural Hack is a 36-hour, data-centric AI and Machine Learning hackathon organized by the ACM-W Student Chapter. The hackathon challenges participants to go beyond model-building and explore data understanding, cleaning, pipeline design, and real-world problem solving.
Aligned with ACM-W's mission, the event actively promotes women's participation in STEM by mandating female team members while remaining inclusive of all genders, fostering collaboration and community support. A dedicated all-female team prize further recognizes excellence among women participants.
Conducted over two days, the event includes continuous hacking, multiple review rounds, eliminations, and final pitches. The Neural Hack provides hands-on technical upskilling, builds a strong foundation for research and future projects, and serves as a catalyst for innovation, leadership, and diversity on campus.
